THE HANGMAN'S PAPERS
If your character would submit something for publication in The Hangman's Papers, a tract/pamphlet distributed to all Riftwatch members on a semi-regular basis, you can reply here to have it included in the post. Notes:
Actually writing the piece is optional. You can sum it up, like "a short paragraph requesting donations for refugees" or "a reprint of a letter from the Comte de Velun thanking Riftwatch for its assistance" or "a two-page litany of complaints about how easy it is to get lost in Kirkwall, with increasingly colorful metaphors." Or you can sum it up and also write out a paragraph or two you want to highlight. Or you can write the whole thing.
New issues come out approximately quarterly, give or take, and the approximate deadline for any issue is the same as the AC deadline. But it's super flexible so if there's ever anything you would like published at a particular time for plot/drama reasons, just say so and I'll make it happen.
- News, gossip, literary or theater criticism, announcements, political musings, poetry, etc., are all welcome.
- Pieces might be printed without people's names attached—that's up to them—but only if Bastien does know who wrote them. Anything anonymously slipped under his door in the middle of the night will be kept in a folder until someone is willing to claim it.
- If you'd like your character to be individually badgered to submit something, lmk.
- It's common knowledge that Bastien is putting this together; it's also common knowledge that someone else originated the idea and is paying him to do it, but he won't say who.
- Comments are screened to preserve IC anonymity, but who submitted what will be shared with Abby OOC and Wysteria IC as a matter of course, plus the Division Heads on request.
